52. Micro-moment - connection

Today, i invite you to take a moment to connect.

A small moment to connect with yourself, a loved one, a friend you haven't spoken to for a while, a work colleague you haven't seen, someone from school, overseas, the dog.

But take a moment to connect without agenda.

If you haven't asked yourself how you are doing today, can you do that? How are you doing? What would be most helpful for you today to make your day a little brighter?

Send a letter! A friend of mine, her son he's 7, he loves the magic of seeing his name written on a surprise card just for him. Who could you write to just to show you are thinking of them.

Send a text, how are you today, want to hear a naff joke or here's that recipe I promised.

It doesn't have to be big and windy like my emails, it simply needs to be because they matter, you matter, to show someone you see them… as Ben Howard so beautifully sings

I saw a friend of mine the other day and he told me that my eyes were gleamin'. Oh I said I had been away, and he knew oh he knew the depths I was meanin'.

And it felt so good to see his face or the comfort invested in my soul. Oh to feel the warmth of a smile when he said "I'm happy to have you home. Ooh ooh I'm happy to have you home." Yeah, keep your head up, keep your heart strong.

Go make a connection, see how it feels for you, what physical sensations are present, what thoughts and emotions arise, and observe what it does for them, what do you notice?
